Will There Be A Baking Community Site In The Near Future?

Someone with the skills and knowledge in making a online website should really consider launching a baking community website for bloggers to add there baking sites. Also a place where fellow baking lovers can reach to one site to see great baking done by people and reviewed by people. Im sadden there isnt a site like this because there are so many blogging community sites for specific topics but not for the world of baking, which surprised me when I couldnt find anything!?. Well I really wished someone would make a site for us baking lovers! or addicts lol

Christmas Gift Baking!

Finally back and well rested to start releasing some more posts! So how was every one's Christmas/Holidays? :D Mine was really great and I have lots of baking stuff to try out for upcoming recipes :P. I don't even know where to start lol? I promise though from the last post I would release the baking I did for gifts :D right?. For one, I gave away those delicious spectalass cookies I posted about just before Christmas, which were very well received. The other two items I gave away were simple snowflakes and mini butter tarts  I had a lot of fun making the snowflakes because it was something I had  never done before. I thought they were really simple to make and very creative. The feature of using the straw to make the holes I thought was very smart and made them look very fancy. I also took my own idea of using toothpicks for different sizes. It really helped experiment with different patterns so the cookies did not look all the same. Then the last feature of the sifted i

Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Hope everyone's Holidays are filled with joy and happiness :D.   Stay tune for more Holiday recipes after Christmas!  I hope I successfully did seasonal recipes this month, its almost over! Well I must run, Its Christmas!

Its Christmas Eve!

Its already Christmas eve! :) and I'm still tired from all the baking last night. I really wanted to get everything done baking wise on the 23rd so I would have today as a nice relaxing day.  My cold is a lot better, but strangely still kicking around, but no near how bad it was, yay :D. Just took a refreshing nap today because this weather just makes you want to sleep. Weather everywhere in Canada is horrible right now :(, but were at least lucky in B.C that its not as damaging as some being hit hard in the east coast of Canada and eastern states. Been seeing some really nightmarish videos on the news and I'm so glad there has not been any deaths. It makes me sad how many people have lost there homes from being damaged from the weather and all the stuff they lost just before Christmas. Hopefully they can get through it and still have a good Christmas with family. From that event ,I sure know what I am thankful for this Christmas. Its having all my close family near me

Christmas Houses And Cookies!

Just finished up last night my version of the candy cottage from " No bake gingerbread houses for kids book".Here's me explaining how it all came together. I started out with the simplest house to see how I would do. At first it was kind of difficult since I didn't seem to have the right crackers, but graham wafers still worked well and just needed to have a longer drying point to keep everything together :).  A couple days later with lots of time for  the house to become solid I bought a few small packages of candy from our nearest convenient store. I used whoppers, nibs and Swedish juice berries which definitely  bought the house more color and became my very own candy cottage. I even had candy on the house from previous of chocolate chips, marshmallows and caramels :).

Waiting Patiently To Do Some More Baking!

I have been battling a cold for a few days now and it has just hit its worst point yesterday :(. I did however get some baking done a little before I got the full effect of being sick. So I was able to get some posts done for everyone :). I am going to try to get plenty of rest and hoping this cold is gone by at least Monday so I can have a week left to do some more Christmas baking :D. While I am still recovering, in the meantime I thought I share some treats with all of you, pictures that is :D Here are some of my pictures of Christmas Holiday Treats I have made in the past before this blog was ever created :D.Hope you enjoy!   Chocolate Pecan Bites

A Christmas Treat That Will Drazzle Your Guests! :D

Only 8 more days till Christmas! :D, Holy Smokes I didn't even think it was that close. I feel as though its like a month or two away lol and still thinking I have a lot of time to spare in making more holiday treats. Hahaha look at me talking like I'm force to do this or something. I really love blogging about food and recipes I really do, but sometimes I feel I'm missing out on trying out really great recipes meaning so much to do but so little time kind of thing. However I always plug into reality and understand I have lots of time to try out more and more holiday treats in the future lol. I have noticed though since I have started this blog it has pushed me to bake a lot more since I feel I need to post more and talk about what I love to do even if its just me reading it. So I'm going to stop beating myself up about recipes I cant squeeze in and just have fun with it. I am going to start now with this post which is about a great treat for the Christmas holidays. It

Holiday Carrot And Peach Muffins

Here is another Christmas treat heading your way and its something fruity, excellent source of vegetable and tastes great :) It was a challenge for this recipe and I wish I could go back and do it  again so they be a little bite better in appearance. The taste hasn't failed here though and they are top notch for flavor/ texture. Here is what I'm talking about for everyone to understand and it may even help someone out.   The recipe looked to me as a pretty basic muffin recipe but looks can be deceiving at times. It can even catch you off guard and you end up making smalls mistakes with simple instructions. Even following a recipe directly doesn't get you the results you wanted, which means you got to do your research and what you have learned in the pasted. For me I wished I sifted the dry ingredients together evenly;even if the recipe did instruct to only mix them together. If I knew then what I know now about certain vegetables/ fruits being easily affected by certain c

We Recieved The Giveaway

Checked the mail yesterday and found out that we received the "No Bake Ginger Bread Houses For Kids Book" from Suzie The Foodie Giveaway :D. Both my mom and I enter to win and she was the one that got her name picked out of the bowl for the book.Once she found out she won she told me that she give me the book once it got here since I really like baking and creating gingerbread houses. Once she got it she told me to comment to Suzie back.If your reading this Suzie, My mom liked to thank you for the lovely raspberry card and the neat photo bookmarks/ business cards:D.We will have a lot of fun with making houses this year :) Thank you. This is ultimately a great book to use and share with family and friends. I am really excited to figure out which house we should make and I am guessing something for the Christmas season since its December.I really love the fine detail of the photos in this book and the simplicity of the instructions. Really creative ideas for candy

Christmas Cookies :D

Doesn't the words "sugar cookie" remind us all of our childhood, especially during the holiday season. This month cant go without delicious sweet sugar cookies especially with the added twist of holiday stencils. This is the first time ever for myself to do stencils on cookies and I was presently surprised with the results. It was lots of effort and time in my part to get all 4 dozen cookies done, but it was worth it because it was a lot of fun being creative. Sugar cookies are really simple to make and highly recommended for children especially helping out with the decorating process. It's a great way for them to accomplish something, be creative and eating there creations while its all happening in a few hours.I always loved eating sugar cookie when I was little and I probably helped out decorating as well, but cant really exactly remember it. Now the shoe is on the other foot and I am the one baking sugar cookies for the whole family to enjoy.Ultimately I chose

Christmas Chessy Appretizers

Don't you notice that many Christmas baked goods we see or bake ourselves are mostly in the sweet variety and don't get me wrong that is pure genius :P.However no one should forget or leave out all the great savory treats that are made. So I thought I enter in something savory and cheesy this time around. I made some Cheese herb crackers inspired in holiday shapes that are best for seasonal/ Christmas parties as an appetizer. There is no party I have to go to and I am not setting up one, but that didn't stop me from making this cheesy morsels. I love that I could easily make it Christmas inspired and that it was found in a holiday recipe book. These crackers actually reminded me a lot of goldfish crackers, but actually richer in flavor assuming because there homemade and fresh. This recipe was pretty basic to a past recipe I have done for a goldfish inspired cracker. With this cracker  there is the added strong cheddar and pre grated Parmesan along with a few herbs such

Sinterklaas Will Come With Candycanes And Presents!

Does anyone remember the days of eating or even making those delicious rice crispy square treats with either family or friends. Maybe you saw them in square format, decorated or in other shapes. They are a loved treat by many people and if your one of the people that have never try them I surely recommended you make them :D. They may seem like a child's treat and adored by them, but we adults shouldn't miss out on the delicious treat. As you can probably guess I made myself some rice crispy treats and during it bought me down memory lane as a child. However I am so use to making rice crispy treats in square format and this time I  really wanted to make a special holiday treat.  So I thought since the Dutch Christmas for the little children is coming up on the morning of December 6th I would give something special to my nephew (Mathew) in his little boot.I know he really loves my baking and is probably my best critic :D.

First Christmas Treat!

I love this time of season because its full of warmth, laughter and baking :D. Its the one time in the year where baked treats really shine:D.Its the first year for me that I will be able to document and review all my seasonal treats.I think it will be great fun to share out my ideas and take a bite out of all the future foods. Its my first Christmas treat of the month and it all started with a few people complaining there were no cookies around lol.So that was a good time to make some kind of Christmas cookie. For me, it had to be simple to make for time and a cookie that will impress. Shortbread came to mine because in my opinion it would be the best one to start off with for the holidays. Its simple, gorgeous and has that melt in your mouth texture, what's not to love about that :P.I was excited to finally pick out a recipe because I  got to wear around my new Christmas apron lol :D.     The recipe started out pretty simple with mixing dry ingredients and adding butte

Holiday Season Is A Upon Us

Krysta's Christmas creation for the holidays :D December is finally here!  Is everyone excited for this years Christmas/Holiday season? I am!,because that means I can finally start my Christmas/seasonal baking between Dec 1st till Jan 1st. You definitely cant stop with the last week of December, especially new years eve, it really needs the treats too :D. I am super excited to flash around my recently new Christmas apron all month and finally use a few of  my birthday gifts for delicious treats. All November I have found a lot of recipes I would love to do for this month and I do wish I could do all of them, but I know there best fit for another Christmas month in the future :D. I have also put up a new Christmas background for everyone to enjoy all December long :D . Isn't that Santa super cute and its like you could just put him in your little pocket :). So If your a baking nut like I am or just obsessed with Christmas. I recommend you subscribe or follow to keep

My Little Snowfakes

Only two more days till December month starts and I'm so excited to test out Christmas recipes for one whole month :D.  This is the first December ever for my blog, so hopefully everything goes well and every one's excited to see some Christmas baking :P. So since there's only two more days left of November I thought I squeeze in one last recipe to show you folks :D.   I have always wanted to make these cookies ever since I saw a picture of them and I finally got to make them myself. When I started out it was pretty simple with just combining the ingredients together and waiting out the next day to completely chill. (The recipe calls for 6 hours but I didn't have that time since it was like 10 pm at night lol ).

What's Your Attractive Treat?

Don't we all get attractive or seduced by at least one kind of baking treat in our lifetime, either seen through a bakery or homemade. Do you have some treat where you cant avoid and must get your hands on? or maybe you have more then one? Christmas is slowly creeping up in my photos lol :)

Lets Play A Game Of Dominoes, Anyone? :D

I was really looking into making a really fun, challenging and unique recipe, which is sometimes really hard to find with limited ingredients. At first I was going to look into making Christmas/seasonal recipes; however I thought I leave that for next month since that will be my first December with this blog. This blog will be brand new to Christmas seasonal recipes so I'm excited to show some really fun treats to the world. So since that was left off the table of possibility I began to lean towards cookie recipes in my baking books. I came across a really cute idea with making cookies look like dominoes and that struck me has a challenge. So I shot out of my chair, whipped on the hairnet, tighten up my Christmas apron ( Yes! Christmas apron already out lol) and got in baking motion :D. As I began the recipe it did start out in difficulty for me in beating butter and sugar together with a wooden spoon. Not a typical thing I see in recipes, but I followed the instructions. I defini

Personal Recipe Writing!

Recently figure out this whole writing out recipes properly from a really great post called "Recipe Attribution" . Its really quite simple to follow and has a lot of comments from fellow bloggers , I found it very helpful for me to figure this all out. So Ive decided to go back on all the recipes I have posted and write them in my personal  words while integrating my changes into them. Most will have the What I Did section removed and added into the recipes. For any fellow viewers using my recipes you will now get exactly what I make, so no confusing how to exactly do whats in the picture.Of course you can always bring your own ideas to the recipes like I have from the originals.Recipe blogging really is about trying new things and sharing your new ideas. Thanks for all your wonderful comments!

Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies :D

This is a brownie everyone will want to get their hands on, especially the peanut butter lovers out there :D. Delicious combination of rich dark chocolate and smooth peanut butter, what's not to like about that. It has a great fudge like texture and a uniquely, beautiful appearance that will intrigue everyone. The recipe is so simple and actually gives you an added bonus of three different brownie versions for you to try out. I think I might try out the Rocky Road Version next time I have marshmallows to use up and see where that takes me.However I warn anyone that makes any of these versions they are deliciously sweet and complication from eating them may be sugar rush and very full tummy lol :P. Have fun eating and baking those brownies!

Blog Award! And Cookies!

I have recently  been catching up on other blogger's  post updates and I saw that Valerie of Une Gamine dans La Cuisine had choose me and my blog as one of her 12 blog picks to passed on the "One Lovely Blog Award". Thank you Valerie for the kind words and I'm glad that I amazed you with my photos and process, that really means a lot from a fellow blogger :D. Now the hard part I have to choose12 blogs and thats a toughy because their so many good blogs out their that I like.; however I think I'll go by  the blogs  I usually always visit. No real order here.

Unique Carrot Cake And Peanut Buttery Cookies

What has recently happen in the world of baking for me? Well my aunt and uncle came for dinner on Wednesday night and I made sure to plan to make a delicious  dessert. On Tuesday afternoon, I  figure out that I would bake a carrot cake before tomorrow and do all the decorating the next day. On Wednesday afternoon I chose to frost a one layer cake with just a simple cream cheese frosting. I left out the nuts all together and there decorating ideas. Instead I topped the cake and sides with chocolate shavings of Baker's Semisweet and White Chocolate using a vegetable peeler. For bigger shavings I learned a easy tip to warm up the chocolate in its wrapper by putting it in your apron pocket. Body heat does the trick and you end up with wider chocolate shaving depending on the chocolate you use.(Hershey milk chocolate does well).

Have A Spooky Halloween!

Happy Halloween Everybody! Hope its a night full of spooky costumes, delicious treats and great costume parties :D. Halloween is a night for everyone to get creative with their baking, decorating or costumes. Its a day to let loose and have a lot of fun no matter what age you are. For my contribution to tonight's Halloween menu, I have made some delicious candy corn sugar cookies , which are two different flavors, vanilla and chocolate. Also, you will obviously notice that they look like two different cookies, but actually there the same recipe but altered by color and shape. The vanilla cookies were not prior chilled before baking and the chocolate were chilled. It's a silly mistake by me, but that comes with the territory in trying new recipes and baking. However; I'm glad that it looks like I made two different cookies and did more work lol :D These cookies definitely pack a punch in flavor. The vanilla dough fits so well paired with

Do The Twist

These pizza twists have a very colorful attractive appearance along with its seductive aroma. It will latch on  to anyone as soon as there done baking and out of the oven. So make sure to make them big and make a lot of them. They are even easier to handle and more portable then pizza plus the filling can be easily change to your liking.

Happy Thanksgiving Day :D

Thank you my followers for all your wonderful inspirational and positive comments on every post I've had made. It really makes me feel my little blog as a purpose. Hope everyone has a great day and a delicious dinner, be sure to get nice an full off turkey :D

Dessert And Baked Good Community For Bloggers

I finally found a dessert/baking community for  baking bloggers to submit their specific blog topics. I found it from another blogger and I'll be submitting my blog very soon. The site is a little case sensitive on image sizes, but if you can make them the exact size you wont have a problem. I'll see how this new site will turn out, looks like a lot of blogs have already joined. So check it out, DessertStalking .

Chocolates, Chocolates And More Chocolates

On Friday afternoon, I was really anxious to try out my candy molds I got for my birthday so I made some peanut butter cups . They were really simple to make and I recommend anyone that loves peanut butter and chocolate to use this recipe. They are even better then the store bought Reese's from what my family tells me. I  have never been a big fan of Reese peanut butter cups because I find them very sweet and artificial. I would always give away my Reese's when I was young from trick and treating. However, if your a Reese fan or not a fan like me you wont be disappointed at all with this recipe, I certainly wasn't.If there is a way to make anything homemade its usually the better choice for flavor and great texture.

Crispy And Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies.... Yum :D

On Wednesday evening, I made some of these delicious big chocolate chip cookies that were quick and easy to make. I just needed something quick involving chocolate so I could conquer my addiction to it by giving in.I think a lot of people can sympathize with being chocolate addicts. On Martha Stewart I looked at her collection of chocolate chip cookie recipes online and found the right one for me called "Crispy And Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies" . They had just the right balance of crispy edges and chewy melty centers. They are a great cookie for dipping in milk or coffee. Every time I ate one I had to have milk with it, just makes sense doesn't it?

Is There A Baking Community Website For Bloggers

Hey Everyone. Recently I've been looking into finding a baking community website where you can showcase your blog and your posts along with a profile about yourself. If anyone has join one they know of or seen one let me know? So far all  I've seen is either food communities or different ones such has healthy food communities. Is there a community site for the baker's, I would assume there is one out there somewhere. Ive seen blogs, where people can join other people and you do different projects at times. But in wondering if there really a website you can share your blog on. Maybe I totally missed it, but let me know? Or maybe someone really needs to make one.

Homemade Chips, Salsa And Dip, Whats Not To Love?

Ever since Saturday's family gathering I've been really wanting to make my own homemade tortilla chips, but every recipe I see online is for store bought tortilla. So I chose to make homemade flour tortilla( from foodess) ,then take to the next level and bake my own chips with using "How to make homemade tortilla chips" , which surprisingly uses no oils for the baking. I was actually wonderfully surprised how good they were, I thought they be a little plain tasting or not crunchy enough. However they were very crunchy and golden. They were better then the store brand because you can control exactly how much salt or seasoning you want, plus a whole a lot cheap for more.

Happy Belated Birthday Food Network

Just yesterday, I found out that the food network channel shares the same birthday as me. I find that pretty interesting since that's my favorite channel. I also know that the food network turn 10 years old on October 4th, 2010 and I was 10 years old when it was born :D. I  however do wish that the food network was born before 2000 because there are so many chefs, bakers, and cooks etc that could of shared their creativity earlier on screen and more easily with other talents. Also, people could of tune in on all the creativity and really learn something new. But I'm glad that it was born when it did because it's one of my inspirations and learning curves. Happy Birthday!

Happy 20th Birthday To Me!

Happy 20th Birthday To Me Love this picture because its Hello Kitty and birthday cake.  This is a really awesome picture that comes from a  really interesting blog called Hello Kitty Junkie, which features anything you could think of to know about it. If your a fan, have children that love hello kitty or just interested you wont be disappointed. I'm already looking at computer wallpaper and reading information :D. Anyways, my birthday has been pretty relaxed so far and planning to spend the rest of the day with David . I had a family gathering birthday party on Saturday, which was really fun. I am really thankful for all the wonder gifts I received. The food was really delicious with all my favorites and the birthday cake was uniquely beautiful. The day to be explained in a nut shell was full of laughter and smiles.

Family Birthday Party

I had my birthday family gathering this weekend(Saturday), while my actual birthday is this Monday. My mom made me this marble cheesecake. Which includes whip cream along the sides with sprinkled sliced almonds. It has raspberries all along the top and fudge icing piped along the top and bottom. Then she used my heart stencil and made icing sugar prints on the top. It was a really awesome cake and deliciously rich.It was my 20th birthday cake and I thought it was great.

Chocolate...Cherries... Whip Cream :D What's Not To Love?

It was my mom's 52nd Birthday celebration on Saturday with all the family coming over for turkey dinner and her blowing out the candles on the homemade Black Forest Cake I made her. This is my first attempt at ever making a Black Forrest and it was really delicious with very positive comments from the family. It doesn't have the best piping to most, but I'm learning to update my piping skills  with practice and create better works of art.

Doodles & Stories

Today, my awesome friend Krysta , who also has a creative blog about her artistic talents has made me a paper doll. I find her doodle super cute and I just had to post it as my face book picture and here on my blog, especially when you can see it involves baking. For this doodle I made up a frictional story to go behind it. The rolling pin symbolizes my love for baking and I guess my character weapon of choice lol. My character is baking up cupcakes and David's character is attempting to steal frosting off of one of the cakes and maybe take a whole cupcake,  if its possible; however its too late for that because my character has whacked him in the head with a rolling pin and he is now seeing dancing cupcakes instead of stars. My character then holds up her rolling pin in triumph with a big smile, while dragging her significant other by the collar. It seems she has won this round in the kitchen. I really like Krysta's little doodles, especially the ones involving real people

Updates...... and more Updates

For all my fellow readers and follower, I would like you all to know that I have switched back to Google comments. The reason I did so was the previous comment systems I  have used both have problems and bugs involved with them. They may perfectly work for yourself or others;however it has caused problems for me. So anyone that has commented on my blog while I was using intense debate, I no longer have those comments on  here. If anyone knows how to import intense debate comments into blogger?, please comment!. It would definitely help. I saved my comments, but I have no idea if blogger has a import for comments. So if anyone knows please comment. I have also recently been going through a lot of changes in my blogs template, looks and gadgets.I get bored easily with my blogs looks and begin messing around with it to make it better. So expect my blog to change a lot in looks but material wont change any. ~LittleMissBaker~

Peanut... Peanut Butter :).......And Chocolate :D

I was really craving a combination of  peanut butter and chocolate :D,so I whipped up some Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chunk Cookies , which were really simple to make. I would even say they were spot on to a previous recipe post I made for Chocolate chunk cookies ;except with the added richness of peanut butter.

Try Your Hand At Making Scone

I'm sad to say there's no photos of the "blueberry streusel scones" I made. Most of them were eaten, giving away and the two left , there was no camera in sight.I gave the rest to David to try out and he really liked them.He told me that they smell really wonderful and devoured two in no time. They were relatively easy to make and I would recommend always using fresh blueberries like they say. I tried frozen blueberries and it made the dough very wet(purple color as well). It made it difficult to handle, but I was able to get it together and they still came out wonderfully. They streusel topping made them smell like fresh cinnamon buns and the blueberries gave the quick bread a great balance of sweetness. They are really great to serve warm at breakfast and brunch.

Deliciously Tasty Blueberry Banana Bread

I was seriously craving some good old fashion banana bread and blueberries. So I looked up a banana bread recipe off "The Joy Of Baking" and altered some ingredients along the way while adding an extra item of blueberries.   The quick bread was deliciously moist and cast off a wonderful deep aroma. The two fruits complimented each other so well and the flavors actually danced in my mouth. This banana bread, especially with the berries is so good warm with some butter spread on top while its absorbing into the treat. I recommend the recipe and adding your own touches to it.Add you own fruits that you love and create something that everyone will love. What I Did: Added 2 cups blueberries and added some to the top. Eliminates the roasted nuts. Added less then a tsp of nutmeg.

Try Out Some Whole Wheat Pizza

I have always wanted to try out a whole wheat pizza dough so I altered my "Fermipan pizza" recipe. I doubled the dough up for two large round pizzas and put half of each flour( whole wheat and all purpose). The recipe was still easy as ever and adding whole wheat cause no issues. The dough risen beautifully and the color of the whole wheat gave a great rustic look.  Do you prefer 100% whole wheat dough or a combination ? For me, I prefer the look of whole wheat then all purpose flour;however white flour really helps with preventing the dough becoming to crunchy and chewy. Whole wheat really bring more flavor to pizza and I can imagine it tasting really good the next day.I cant wait to try some and have all the flavor absorbed into the pizza dough. Does anyone else like pizza the next day or find that its better?

Which Blog Comment System Do You Like?

I  Review: I have just recently been looking into new comment systems for my blog that can integrate with blogger.I have noticed google/blogger comment box doesn't have somethings that would be beneficial to bloggers such as direct reply to comments and added bonuses from other systems. In the future, maybe blogger will have some really great updates for the comment box that will make it even easier to keep in contact with follow readers. So far from what Ive researched there are 3 different systems that can integrate with blogger and other blog systems. I tried two of the three systems on my blog. One was intense debate , which has really great features, but somehow it didn't work for me and caused errors. Then I also tried dique comment system, it installed quickly, simple to follow and had extra  features I could chose to add. When I installed the system to blogger it did make all my previous comments disappear, but I was insured it doesn't actually delete any of the

Blueberries And Cheesecake,Cant Miss This

I have been looking through this recipe book made from a u-pick blueberry farm called Steld Farm. My family went up there to get some blueberries and did they ever get a ton of berries. So I decided to make something with the blueberries and I chose cheesecake dreams ,which are pretty much smaller pieces of cake.
