Nutella Cookie Rings

I've made these kind of cookies before in the past with the same recipe; however this time I changed it up and replaced the filling. Instead of cookie rings filled with jelly/jam along side butter-cream frosting, it is replaced with creamy chocolate hazelnut spread called Nutella. This brings a new appearance, taste, texture and a whole new cookie on its own.  The cookie dough part of the recipe has no changes to it, only the filling is replaced. This cookies, with its hazelnut chocolate brings a great dark color to emphasis the golden shades within the cookie. The ring cookies are all about their appearance based on their color mixtures, and how the filling is perfectly shown through each cookie. These cookie's are eaten based on their appearance and of  course their delightful flavors. This cookie reminds when eaten the texture and flavor of a chocolate pudding pie. The Nutella is rich, creamy, smooth and brings a great sweetness to the cookie. The dough part reminded me a lo

Cheesy Scones

Here is a recipe that I have used a few times from "The Big Book Of Baking" and I would say its the best scone recipe I have made so far. They are cheap in ingredients, easy to put together and everyone will think you spent a lot of hard work into it;however baking is hard work in all different levels especially homemade.   These scones have a wonderful warm, buttery and cheese flavor wrapped all inside just waiting to  release its intoxicating aroma from within. It has tasty moist layers from within and a crunchy, spicy outside. Their appearance is really eye catching with its golden exterior along with the melted cheese and pepper wrapped altogether for one delicious scone. I found myself addicted to these delicious scones and if you ever make these yourself don't say I didn't warn you about them.So enjoy your baking.

They Really Taste Like Goldfish

These deliciously cheesy rich crackers actually are so similar in texture and flavor of goldfish crackers. I was wonderfully surprise how exact they were besides the shape I made them into(triangles). When I  was looking for a simple cracker snack to bring along for our Vancouver day trip with my family I saw this simple cheddar goldfish cracker recipe, but I didn't think that it would be so similar.

Two Bite Brownies

I made these lovely two bite treats from going by a fudgy brownie recipe that I found on a wonderful blog that I follow called  Jenn's Baking Chamber, and I recommend any readers to check it out.Jenn has wonderful recipes that Ive tried out multiple times in the past.As you can see these are not the original looking brownies Jenn made because I used mini muffin pans with liners for a smaller sized brownie.I also made a lovely milk chocolate glaze for the topping along with some colorful sprinkles.

Dreams Can Come True

Another, late night baking adventure in the kitchen just five minutes after having an unexpected nap for an half hour and I still managed to have the energy to bake something. Now that's definitely commitment to follow through with a recipe I chose.Anyways,I chose a wonderful bar recipe from the "cookie collection" book, which has a lot of recipes that I would love to try out in the future. These bars have a deliciously buttery and flaky shortbread base and a sweet layer in the middle of jam and chocolate. Also, with a mildly sweet, crumbly and crunchy brown sugar topping. These elements of ingredients come together so nicely in flavor and appearance. They become a great small dessert to serve at a party or just as a treat.

Deliciously Crunchy Homemade Cheesy Crackers

Made these delicious cheesy crackers last night from a wonderful recipe on Chef at home. These are great for an appetizer at a party or with a small gathering of guests. They are really good warm with a little of cream cheese spread atop or with the balsamic syrup that was made for it. I didn't make any of the syrup for the crackers, so I don't really have an direct opinion on it; however ill let everyone else check it out for themselves.

Now Everyone Can Have Apple Fritters

This evening, I made these homemade apple fritters from a delicious recipe book called "Desserts" that my mom bought this afternoon for herself at the used book store near our house. Its a really nice small book store that sells really good in shape books and especially has a nice collection of culinary books. So I decided to make the first dessert out of the recipe book and they were so deliciously good. I know, I'll definitely make these again and maybe try a different filling.

Birthdays,Cakes And Gifts

I made this lovely chocolate mayo layer cake with hazelnut frosting on Thursday for my boyfriend's 20th birthday on Friday. In the process of making the cake my family was really amused and impressed by the cakes neat shaped appearance.I really wanted to challenge myself and go with my imagination for this creation.I actually highly impressed myself in the time and creativity I put in to it.It's one of those cakes that takes time and a gentle hand to put all together, that you almost don't want it eaten in the end.

Would You Like Something Cheesy?

Today, this evening I baked up some savory cheesy biscuits to go along with dinner that was being made at the time. The biscuits really went well with the soup that was made for dinner and were especially  warm and moist. They had a great flavor contrast of the cheese's and the mixture of herbs. I think I ate like two to three biscuit because they were so deliciously addicting. These biscuit have a beautiful golden and risen appearance along with its great crunchy, layered and soft texture. Having all those put together in one item really makes it something really delicious.

Mother's Day Breakfast And Dessert!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mom's out there. For Mother's Day, me and the help from my older sister made a lovely breakfast for our parents, in which was served  Fresh Strawberry Crepes (took no photographs for blog, look at link). While they were eating their delicious breakfast our wonderful mother opened our gifts and cards. She was very impressed by the gifts and gave positive comments towards the breakfast. The fresh fruit crepes that I made excluded strawberries because I had none at the time so I went with another of her favorites, peaches. In the recipe, I used canned sliced peaches,in which it gave a wonderful refreshing taste and the juices gave a wonderful absorbing sweetness in the crepes.I tried one myself and they were delicious; however one crepe is quite fulling so I recommend eating slowly or just don't use as much filling as asked.I do really recommend this ,especially for a fancy breakfast or even as a dessert. So check out the link at Food

Minty Freshness

Made these bite-size mints on Tuesday night and were ready for devouring the next day . These little mints are perfect for the end of a special meal or just as a snack treat for those peppermint flavor lovers out there. They have a great pastel green shade with a really creamy, melt in your mouth texture. These tasty mints can be made into many different shapes by using pastry or canape cutters.I chose to roll them in the traditionally ball shape.
