My Little Snowfakes

Only two more days till December month starts and I'm so excited to test out Christmas recipes for one whole month :D.  This is the first December ever for my blog, so hopefully everything goes well and every one's excited to see some Christmas baking :P. So since there's only two more days left of November I thought I squeeze in one last recipe to show you folks :D.

I have always wanted to make these cookies ever since I saw a picture of them and I finally got to make them myself. When I started out it was pretty simple with just combining the ingredients together and waiting out the next day to completely chill. (The recipe calls for 6 hours but I didn't have that time since it was like 10 pm at night lol).

The next day the dough was in the perfect form and was really easy to make about 1 inch balls. Once that was done the fun part came in with rolling the cookie dough in powdered sugar. I think the most enjoyable parts in baking are the most simple to do. I then placed them on the cookie sheet and got baking.  I would say these are the kind of cookies that are really interesting and creative to watch when baking in the oven.  They start out just as little white powder balls and become these puffed up crinkle like top cookies. I am always amazed by baking everyday.

Once they were completely cool, I took a bite out of one and expected a really sweet cookie since there's a lot of sugar incorporated. However the powder sugar brings more sweetness and you’re able to taste the chocolate flavor a lot more. It’s not a complicated cookie and has the appeal that it is by appearance. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser with its delightful look and it’s soft like texture. I am really glad I got the chance to make them since I think they look really neat:D.

I would definitely say there a treat that fits the Christmas and holiday season. So in honor of the season I thought I give the cookies a more stylish name. So I named them" My Little Snowflakes" since they remind me of a winter wonderland and there just so darn cute :P.
Holidays are coming! :D

Stay tune for Christmas recipes in December!

  4. I love the name for the snack recipe. I think these cookies will be a hit with my family for the holidays. They are cookies and then there is chocolate and what else can you ask for.
