Happy 1 Year Anniversary To The Art Of Baking!!!!!!!!

It is the official day that this blog first appeared on blogger in 2010!.There have been many great treats and memories created along the way. The year, also wasn't without its mistakes and difficult challenges, but it was all worth it to learn something new :).

The first year has been a blast and I'm glad I took the advice of David and my friends to create my own baking blog to express my passion.It was a challenging activity at first to figure out how to get a foodie blog all together,but I have learned many tips/ tricks along the way for blogging and baking from many great foodie blogger's. Thank You!:P. I am looking forward to new treats and memories :D

The Best Homemade Pizza I Ever Had!!!!!! :D

I have to say this is the best homemade pizza I have ever made and I absolutely love the flavor of the crust. I have to give two thumbs up to this amazing whole wheat pizza recipe posted by Marla. It was the first recipe I found online and I was a little hesitant about using it without researching a little more. However I saw it had great ratings and reviews and thought  it must be good, they were right :P

This pizza crust you may be surprised isn't actually made with 100% whole wheat flour, which doesn't really bother me because I just love the flavor of whole wheat. However from my research in the past about this kind of crust is most recipes use a combination of whole wheat and white flour to prevent the dough from being to dry, tough or chewy. No! one wants that :(

Trying To Find The Perfect Muffin Recipe...........Did I Find it?

One of my favorite muffins is blueberry and Ive been so far trying to find a good muffin recipe. This one for Healthy Banana Blueberry Muffins didn't really make me drop on my knees and say this is the best lol; however they really taste good and if you don't care to much on appearance then try it out.

The flavors and color I had no issue with, it was the overall shape of what a muffin suppose to be.I followed the recipe exactly how the directions asked even though I was actually alarmed that the recipe ask to use a electric beater to combine the dry mix and banana mix to the creamed butter . Anyone that knows the muffin method, you do not over-mix and I think this way would  make it entirely to easy to mix to much. Even though it ask to be on low speed I think every one's beater going to be different in sense of meter.

Chocolate Oatmeal Raisin Cookies :D

These are one of the best Chocolate Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I have had in a long time. I  have recently trusted cookie recipes from Martha Stewart and she hasn't failed me yet in this category :P. There are so many great cookies that I get overwhelmed in what to pick,so I basically try to go by what I have around for ingredients and what can be replaced.I didn't change much to this recipe since I really wanted  what was in the picture. I replaced the semisweet chocolate chip with my favorite milk chocolate chips and the only ingredient I didn't have was butter :O, so margarine was the next best thing :P.

Chocolate And Caramel! :D

Its a two in one post today since both the delicious treats were made on the same day. I think they deserve to be together even if they seem total opposites. 

I was craving chocolate so it was a no brainier to make something involving that and I love cake so I chose to make a favorite around here "Wacky Cake". Now most people that bake often know why its called wacky; however for ones that don't know well its wacky because it's made without eggs and butter which are usually a basic items in cake .Most people think that this recipe might of  been made up during the depressions times when ingredients were scarce and people needed to improvise.If it really was made then or not its certainly a great experiment and still a popular cake today.

Our Creative Lollipop Cookies

  Me and my nephew made these special cookies when he was over a little while ago. I thought I try a fun and creative cookie, especially it being from a kid's cooking book,  you cant go wrong with that :). He was very helpful with mixing, putting the lollipop's together and  seem to have fun decorating. He also was sneaking some cookie dough during and kept telling me to try some because it was so good lol :). I do think peanut butter cookies have the best dough/batter, but I don't always recommended eating it since most recipes include egg. It is very low risk of getting anything, but if you must try some of the dough keep it to a low limit to be safe. Its hard though because it looks so tasty especially whenever other treats are added as well lol.

Try To Get The Perfect Muffin

I have always loved bananas in baking  since I was a kid ,especially with different varieties of chocolates chips :D.If its baking muffins, bread or what have you its so darn yummy and so simple to make :P. I love trying out different recipes and creative ideas for this certain ingredient.

 I love muffins especially my favorites the large double chocolate muffin and if done right there so yummy. What I mean when I say done right is  muffins are a delicate matter in getting them just right and tasting especially good. For me I have had lots of failed attempts in the past and some on this blog. I even try to avoid making them sometimes to prevent a mess up.This time I believe I did pretty well for a muffin :D.

Cinnamon Rolls Are Excellent Treat!

Cinnamon Rolls are a favorite to many and seem to put in the role of the breakfast and quick bread family. It seem to be a cross between cinnamon buns and sticky buns, but still sticks on its own as an individual. There all equally delicious though and I tend to make sure to find a recipe to make different versions.

These cinnamon rolls have a great attractive appearance to them and bring off a great aroma of flavor. Its a bakery treat that is pretty hard to fight back temptation to try one and pretty much talks to you saying" take one, I'm so good lol".

Bring Out The Fudge!

So its a start of a new year!!! and the end of the holiday baking :(, oh well, it was fun while it lasted!

What you all do for your new year's eve bash?

For us, Me and Dave went to my sister's new year eve party.  It was just a small group of close family and friends :D, nothing to crazy lol. It was super fun!

For the festivities I made and bought along some chocolate cashew fudge :D.They were a hit and pretty much just like a chocolate bar. My sister has told me that the ones I gave her to eat are all gone, unfortunately only her, Mathew and her friend got one piece to share amongst themselves :O.She has a husband that seem to be a extreme chocoholic haha, he needs help lol. Or she just needs a refill by looking here for the recipe lol.
