So, to get you started, I have a super simple recipe for all the foodies you know that are peanut butter and chocolate lovers. They are called fudge puddles and they are the cutest treat to display in a Christmas tin.  

All you really have to do is take a basic peanut butter cookie recipe, even your favourite will work. Then you bake each cookie in a mini muffin tin, indent each center, and pipe the center with chocolate, fudge filling. Then to top it all off we sprinkle each with sliced almonds and serve when cooled. In the end, you have a buttery peanut butter cookie with a rich, creamy chocolate filling. 
  

So go on and try out this recipe. Just think it's a budget-friendly treat that is simple to prep and can also be easily made ahead of time. Fudge Puddles
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed light packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

Fudge Filling
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 can(14ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Sliced almond or chopped peanuts




1. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, peanut butter and sugars.


2. Beat in egg and vanilla. 


3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. 


4. Gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Chill for 1 hour.


5.Shape dough into 48 balls,1 inch each. Place in lightly greased mini muffin tins .


6. Bake at 325 F got 14-16 minutes or until lightly browned. When still warm, create an indent in the center of each cookie using the handle of a wooden spoon about 3/8 to 1/2 inch deep.


7. Let the cookies cool in the pan for 5 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

Fudge Filling 



1.Using a medium glass bowl. Microwave the chocolate chips at 30-second intervals, stirring between each until fully melted. Stir in the milk and vanilla, until smooth. Using a piping bag with or without a tip.Pipe inside the indent of each cookie. Sprinkle each with chopped or sliced almond. Let set and layer with wax paper in an airtight container.
