So try it out yourself and see what new variations you can come up with.

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 tsp salt
Oil/Non-stick cooking spray

In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, until melted and smooth. Stir in between. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, using a wooden spoon, stir in sugar and butter, until blended.

Add eggs and vanilla, until incorporated.

Stir in melted chocolate, then add flour, cocoa, and salt, stir until moistened.

Preheat waffle maker and grease with either vegetable oil or spray with cooking spray.

In batches, drop batter by heaping tablespoons into the waffle maker, spacing apart.

Close the lid gently and cook for about 2 minutes or until edges are firm and no longer wet.

Transfer brownies to a wire rack to cool. Serve warm or room temperature.
