Its Nothing, But Great Surprises In The Mail

2 comments:

I received some recent goodies in the mail :).I got one of my giveaway wins, which is a lovely lavender flower headband from Valerie Jordan. She has a wonderful Etsy shop at bloempjes ,where she makes colorful fabric flowers. They are so well made and she even offers, design it yourself flowers. You can choose color, type, center piece and backing. I chose a lavender modern flower, cluster of pearls as a center piece and all attached to a headband.I am so happy with my choice and it is now my favorite summer accessory.Thank you Valarie!.

Also,at Valarie's store you can get 20% off an order by using the coupon code, LUCKY20. Trust me the code will work, she told me herself :). Go check out her etsy shop, you wont be disappointed. Thanks again Val! The packaging was adorable and I will certainly enjoy the flower :). It reminds me of something a Hollywood actress would wear in the1920 or 1940 with a fancy gown. I love vintage looking items, especially accessories :).
For another goodie. I received a sample of  15 removable label pads from Avery. 5 orange, 5 white and 5 lime green. These are very useful little things and can be used to label anything. For example they say these are ideal for using on documents, storage bins, glass jars and more. I think I'll be using them on jars, boxes, storage bins and for note reminders. Its a small freebie, but might as well take advantage of trying them out. I think I'll be able to find them useful towards baking. Maybe label a box that can be used to travel baked treats.

For the last goodie, I got a freebie recipe book from Gooseberry Patch called Fall Favorites with Sun-Maid Raisins and Dried Fruit.I think this is in the top list of awesome samples because I can reuse it and keep it .It's a 30 recipe booklet of breakfast items to desserts.I was actually surprised and excited it had that many recipes for a freebie.Great job to everyone involved in that sample. This book is really cute and reminds me a lot of an old fashion cookbook, especially the drawings and little notes. I'm excited to try out some of the food and share my findings.

Till we meet again lol :)

Dove Conditioner + Treatment Review

Well I finally used up my Dove Conditioner Treatment sample on Sunday. I actually got 11 washes out of this small bottle for my short length hair. I think I could of even got 12 washes,if I wasn't in such a hurry in wanting to share my experiences.

This conditioner was super easy to use and goes a long way. The directions told me to use a quarter sized amount of conditioner, but I ended up being able to use a lot less for my short hair. I really like conserving products and stretching them as far as they can go. I really loved this product and its so far my favorite conditioner. From the first day to the very last day , I loved rinsing out the product because my hair felt so smooth even when wet.

I saw a big difference in my hair while washing and when fully dry.It made my hair smell really good and I definitely recognize the aroma of coconut oil. I even blow dried my hair the first couple days to see how it would hold up overall. My hair felt very lightweight and soft, along with being shiny and keeping its shape. No tangles and definitely no frizz. Overall, of 11 days of using this product my hair hasnt felt that good in a long time.It held up its bargain on everything it promised.I also really liked the sample sized bottle, Dove gave me because they are a whole lot easier to use then packets.I give two thumbs up to Dove Conditioner + treatment.

I will be definitely buying this product in the future. Dove's Face book page even has a coupon for any of their Nutri- oil care products for 2 dollars off. I saw the conditioner  treatment at Wal-mart  for about 7 dollar along with tax and I think I'll be using my coupon once its on for a lower price. This product goes a long way with less but if I can get it for less in price then that would be great.

I also just used a coupon from my last shampoo review of Garnier Frustis pure clean for 1 dollar off. I actuall bought their conditioner and using it right now. Both lovely productss

Check back again everyone!

The Fun In Shopping

No comments:
I went to town today and found Always infinity pads at Wal-mart Super store, priced at $4.98. I used my free coupon for the new product, however it wasn't 100% free because I had to pay 25 cents in GST. That is actually the first time I've had to pay tax using a free coupon, but I guess its because all the other things were food items. I don't know, maybe if I had a different cashier they would of let it go. Oh well,25 cents is way better then paying full price of over five dollars. The coupon was well worth it though because I wouldn't of bought this product with out it, in sense of the price, amount and never have used it before.Anyways this is what these freebie coupons are all about. To get consumers to try a product they might of never thought to use or buy.

I haven't yet tried the always infinity, so I have no full opinion on it yet. From what they have told they are really soft, non stop absorbency for 8 hours and flexes to fit you.Well will see if they keep up there bargain with their box of 18 pads. The Always infinity product that I chose was the regular flow type, but their is also heavy and overnight. The pads for regular are pretty thin, which is perfectly fine because some pads can be pretty bulky. I don't know right now If I would pay full price of 5 dollars for 18 pads while their are other brands with more. All I know is products always look bigger in online pictures then what you see in stores. Good market advertising, I guess :).

I also went to the Canadian Superstore to look for swimsuits for these summer month, no luck in that department;however I got to replace my sunglasses that broke right in half last year with a great pair from Joe.They actually have a pretty nice selection of shades that I liked more then the larger section at Wal-mart. I just got simple black shades with a bit of purple color in the lenses.I'm really into big summer sun glasses so I had to get them big and I guess that all started when it became a big fad when celebrities were wearing them. They are really comfy and stylish as well.
However the highlight of the night was using my Buy One Get One Free Ice cream for Cold Stone Creamery at Tim Horton's. My mom and me used this coupon.I got an Oreo overload and she got Berry Berry Berry Good, that was an intended pun since that's what its really called. The Oreo ice cream medium was piled up and was super good with chocolate chips, vanilla cream, fudge syrup and Oreo cookie. We both agreed the serving was quite fulling  and I don't know I could ever do a large serving lol.I so know that I will definitely go back since I grabbed more coupons from their counter for buy one get one free for small and fir medium.
I'll have to plan a hangout with Dave and Krysta before Thursday to get this delicious ice cream. My treat guys!Plus I want to try that Cheesecake Fantasy ice cream.Sounds Yummy!Hopefully these plans don't spoil.Only got till July 28th till this coupon is over. If anyone wants to get this coupon. You will find it any Tim Horton's with a Cold Stone creamery. Also you might find it on Free Samples Canada. Just have to look for it in their categories. I found it on there as a printable coupon.Good luck!

Anyways check back, I'm working on a review!

New Doodles And Freebie Coupon

No comments:

My awesome friend Krysta recently created a brand new doodle of me. It represents my passion for baking and being a proud Canadian blogger .It's adorable and I'll be permanently adding it to the top of my sidebar :).Thank you Krysta

Also I received a coupon this week for a free pack of Always infinity. This is a new and improved always pad with protection up to 8 hours. Along with other added features for a more trusting protection. This freebie is a great find because its definitely needed and hygiene products are sometimes very expensive for a little amount. So if any one's able to get a whole pack for free because its new on the market then that is a score in my book. I haven't yet use my coupon, but I will next time I go to the store.I am happy I get to try out this brand new product even though its during a time no women really likes. However good full protection puts that time a little at ease.

Summer Picnic Treats

3 comments:
I've got some great summer recipes to share with all of you. I also have a few ideas in the back of my head for these couple months, but I will keep that on the down low for now.

Anyways, Its basically the start of the summer over here on Vancouver island, but it sure hasn't shown it self . It was sunny a few times and now recently its been cloudy, rainy weather, but still quite humid at times. I guess I cant complain to much because the rain is great for everything too and I'm glad that it hasn't been horribly hot yet. I probably jinked myself saying that and now I must throw salt behind my shoulder. If it comes to that I'll go towards my trusty unbaking recipes and try to fit in some swimming too.

For everyone that knows me personally will already know that I'm really interested in all picnic stuff. For everyone that's new to this interest I'll tell you that recently I've been trying to find a vintage picnic basket that is affordable and not found online. This has been found to be pretty impossible to succeed at especially ones with lids along with handles.Anyways, I thought well I have two great picnic bags sitting around and its been bad weather recently. I thought I will use the utensil and decoration of each to create a food scene (see below). So I may not have found my wonderful basket yet, but I sure can add to the collection of recipes for it.

So far I've added two to the summer collection of recipes and I'll begin to add another two.Recently we've had a ton of different cereals around because of all the great deals that have recently been on the boxes, including coupon freebies or coupon's off. One of the cereals there's been abundance of is cornflakes and I know there are many many recipes that can incorporate this well known cereal. So I actually looked through my mom's Kellogg's corn flake recipe book and flipped back to of course the dessert section, my sanctuary as it might be.I right away saw a really yummy recipe for apple tarts made with cornflakes and I've always seen recipes for this online. So I dived in and just couldn't waste an opportunity with an ingredient.

The recipe for the tarts were pretty straight forward and a little time consuming at times in preparing the apples. However I can recommend preparing the apples prior to the rest so everything can come together  quickly in the end. You don't want any dough sitting around to long and if that does happen I would put it in the fridge. That's what I did when I chose to do the apples last. Anyway you choose it's fine, as along as you keep those apples in lemon juice then you don't have to worry about any browning.

The slight changes that I made to the recipe were replacing the butter with lard because the dough seem pretty close to a pie crust. I also couldn't resist adding that flavorful ingredient brown sugar and still now I wish I replaced all the white sugar with it because it would been an excellent syrup. The glaze I also made up myself because I found the original amount of icing was too much.

For me there was some slight difficulty with the dough, looking as though it wasn't going to be enough for top and bottom. Really you have your work cut out for this dough, especially the top layer. The bottom is pretty easy to fix any problems because you press it in yourself. The top is rolled prior and then placing on top of filling. Any problems can be easily fixed, it will just take some fiddling around.

These tarts have a nice flaky texture along with a chewy crunch from the corn flakes. From my experience of using cornflakes for the first time in this recipe, I think I will crush the cornflakes more finely next time for different texture. The filling was perfect though and it was exactly like eating a perfect piece of apple pie. This is one of those guilty pleasure treats that satisfied.I give two thumbs up for taste and appearance.I do recommend remembering to crush the cornflake more finely and I'll be listening to my own advice on that. Plus brown sugar brings the best possible flavor.

These yummy tarts also baked really nicely and were done in exactly 45 minutes. I was surprised by this because that's the first for me ever having something finished at the exact time lol.It is extremely important though to give some ventilation and put holes in the top. You don't want to see what happens if you ignore that advice in the recipe. For the tarts they can be served hot or cold. Its basically an apple pie and its your preference in what you like. I do recommend to cool them overnight to absorb the flavors and keep them from falling apart. The glaze also sets really nicely cold and doesn't melt off when you pour it on.

These would be a great summer treat to bring to a picnic or BBQ because they are easy to transfer and everyone will love a mini version of an apple pie.If you really want to get fancy bring a aerosol can of whip cream for the shindig.

I'm not done yet!, I still have a great party mix I have to share with all of you.Now this is an easy peasy summer snack. This is my experiment shreddie's mix adapted from a nuts and bolts recipe. I didn't have any of the other main ingredients, so I threw in all the shreddies and chose my own spices.

Garlic is a main ingredient in almost all of these spice blends I have seen and this is the first I've ever had to make a garlic paste. Now that was something to figure out at first. I think it be best if the garlic was roasted prior and then mashed up into a paste. I can imagine that being incredibly easier then what I had to do. I basically mashed it with  a spoon to get the salt into it and then mashed it with the flat side of a knife lol.

After all that I began experimenting in what I liked in seasonings.  If you like hot, mild, spicy, neutral etc. That all can be created for this party mix. For me I went with a mild flavor to please everyone that would try it.This party mix does take some time to toast and soak up all that spice blend. On a very low heat it takes about hour and half and remembering to toss every 20 minutes to evenly bake. This does remind me quite a bit of baking caramel popcorn.

Now I have to say this party mix is addicting for me and I will definitely make it again.I plan to pair it with other snacks like variety of nuts, chips, pretzels,or even dried fruit. It's a really good spice balance and pairs well with a carbonated drink like any party mix.I can see making these party mixes even healthier to any one's liking. It will definitely keep well along as its in an airtight container. The party mix is great to transfer for a picnic and a easy no utensil snack. This recipe is great for experimenting with your own ideas and you wont be disappointed. Go ahead, take my recipe and add your own spin on it and share with me in the comments what they are.Summer is here and it better show its self pretty soon. Cross your fingers for this coming week. :)

Experimental Party Mix
(Adapted from Nuts and Bolts Snack Mix)

3 cups of shreddies
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp salt
5 tbsp margarine, melted
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Onion Powder ( you preference)
Seasoning salt ( your preference)

Add shreddies to large bowl.
Mince garlic. Place garlic and salt in a small bowl ,mash together with a spoon. Once salt is mixed in,place garlic on a cleaning working surface and mash with the flat part of the knife to help turn into a paste. It  will look soft and changed texture.

Stir paste into melted margarine.Add Worcestershire sauce, onion powder and seasoning salt.Mix thoroughly
Pour into a greased large rimmed glass pan. Place in oven at 225F. Stir every 20 minutes for 1 hour 20 minutes. Once done place in a bowl or plastic container and let cool at room temp, covered with a towel.Best eaten the next day.

It's Christmas At The Mail Box :D

The mail this week has been nonstop with gifts and samples. Yesterday, I received one of my giveaway wins, which I must keep secret for now since its an actual gift for someone :). However I can tell all of you about the freebie samples I got.

The first sample that I got yesterday were the Moo business cards I ordered. These are now one of my favorite samples, since they let me have so much control on what I really wanted in the cards. Moo is an awesome website and their cards are so durable, efficient and have a great finish.I recommend them for anyone that needs great and reliable business cards.

If you really want to see for yourself what they are like visit, Moo. They still have their free samples to try out. Ten full sized business cards for free, including free shipping.Free sounds great doesn't it and they let you have a lot of control in either choosing a template or uploading photographs. If you want a great business card from them I say take your time and create what you will love. For me I took my time with picking each photo for those 10 cards along with being efficient as possible with the written information on the back. You don't want any spelling mistakes or awkward looking photos do you?. The camera cant capture how good they actually look, but its pretty close :).The little packet they have for the cards is so cute too :).

For today I only got one sample, but I'm not complaining that is still awesome.I received my U kotex sample, which includes one regular pad and 2 tampons(regular and super).Theses products are quite colorful in their wrappers and material. I guess they want to bring some fun to a not so great time lol.Well its an item every women needs and its really handy to get a few free to try out.Plus kotex was really thoughtful of giving a dollar off coupon to the next purchase of their products. So maybe when they have their product on sale at some store I'll get a great price.

Everyone have a great day and will see what tomorrow brings :). Then its the weekend :(

Today Is Full Of Vintage Items And Beauty Products. What's Not To Like?

No comments:
Wow! I must be super lucky today because I received not one, but 3 gifts in the mail.Checking the mail has now become a exciting event for me to see what surprises are hidden behind each door :). Anyways before I ramble on, we all know why were here,  is to see what I got right? and what new stuff I get to try out :).

Well one of the first items I opened up was a freebie sample from Dove that I ordered a while back.It was pushed back from the mail strike imagine, but I'm so glad I actually received it. They gave me a really good sized sample of  their Dove Daily Treatment Conditioner.I haven't yet tried this product;
however I know so far that it smells really good and dove has never failed me in the past.I'm so excited to try this Dove product since I'm new to their hair products.

They tell me this conditioner will make hair weightless, control 100% frizz and repair. Well if it can do all that in one product I will be in love with it since my hair is so heavy that I have to keep it short and frizz come around once and while for me. Plus I'm all in for repairing hair and keeping it as healthy as possible. I've never dyed my hair so I'm one step closer to keeping it alive :). I'll give everyone a heads up on how well the product is working for me

Also before I forget about it, I just remembered I was suppose to tell all of you how the olay cleanser and scrub has been working for me. Well I've been using it once sometimes twice a day for about a week now. I haven't been using my regular cleanser for acne since I got this product. So far I've notice each time I wash my face it's really smooth, feels very refreshing and I haven't noticed any worse breakouts. The smell also isn't overboard chemical either and the swirl color part of the cleanser brings some fun to it.

For me,I have suffered with acne since I was twelve years old and age as been one of the big factors in helping it get better.I do have to give kudos to the Spectro combination cleanser for helping me go to occasional light acne. I also have to give myself a big thanks for escaping insecurity's about acne and stopping myself from using any make-up like foundations and powders for my face. No matter what the product says included words I've read countless times like oil-free or wont clog pores. Don't believe it because from my experience it didn't help it or keep it the same.

From experience I've tried countless products in the past,so I don't expect this Olay product to wow me just yet. So far It does work for light acne, but if your someone that has moderate or worse then I recommend something else. It does work for me since my acne has died down to being pretty mundane that it wont make it any worse.

This product will be very good for someone with light acne to none at all and its really good with removing make-up including face or eye.Its all what you want in a product and I'll try out anything to see how it works. In the end I'll stick with my trusty cleanser that has got me this far in my skin. I know how it feels to battle skin conditions and I probably will for a little bit longer.

On to another great gift I received. These items were an actual giveaway I won at B. Inspiredmama. I love anything vintage especially kitchen wear, women 50-60's clothing or decorative pieces. So this definitely was a contest I was interested in entering. For winning the giveaway I got to pick not one but two items to be sent to me. I was so excited to look through her etsy shop and pick. The items I chose were two decorated pieces of a Florida orange cutting board(top) and adorable dutch boy and girl with stand(down below).

I love the cutting board because I'm passionate about anything cooking and baking and I'm part dutch so the boy and girl decoration is a little closer to me personally:). These two items will be great decorative pieces and I'm excited to take them with me when I move out one day. They be so cute as kitchen decorations. For now they are a room decoration :).

Thank you Krissy. The items finally arrived after that mail strike happened here in Canada. The items are wonderful and thanks for the 10% off code. I have a big thing for vintage cookie jars especially 50s- 60s so once I see something in your shop for that I might buy it and use my 10% off. Big thank you and my family really likes the dutch children stand :) We all wanted to know if you knew how old it really was?Great job on all the great vintage items that you find.

Everyone have a great day and week. I'll be probably back posting again. It's all about what's in the mail tomorrow and the next :).

Summer Market Finds And Beach Day

No comments:
Saturday afternoon I went to the yearly local Chemainus Summer Market. It was a really nice day for it but super hot as well. Me and my mom went together because we love checking out the garage sales items and jewelry is another guilty pleasure of mine, which is avid in these markets.I also love finding used baking equipment or old canisters you never find and can fix up.

My mom wasn't to lucky in finding anything she liked but I got two good jewelry finds at a great price. We all know most handmade jewelry at these markets are a pretty penny for them but I got some costume jewelry which is just as good. I scored a really pretty reddish cameo necklace and a charm necklace which I loved because it had two vintage styled keys on them. I could even remove the rest of the charms and keep the keys :). I am still scouting for a skeleton key pendent alone or on a chain. They are hard to find especially the really vintage looking ones.I am going to keep my eye open especially for giveaways that may  have them.

We stayed for a bit looking around at the market and then once we were done we ended up at a  family birthday picnic at transfer beach park.Celebrating my sister Anna and my brother- in law Brian birthday. For my sister gift I made her a black and white hemp bracelet with beads.I use to be into making hemp jewelry in the past and I guess I am back into it now. Only problem is beads can be super expensive for what they are and hemp as well;however they do look really nice and something different from the regular jewelry.Well summer is certainly here and I can see myself getting a pretty dark tan going on. I am so happy my hair is still short and I am looking forward to going swimming with friends :).

July Summer Recipes!

2 comments:

For a few days me and my sister Anna did some house sitting and pet sitting for our Sister Heidi. While I was there I did a couple baking recipes with the ingredients that were around. I made a few dozen white chocolate raisin cookies and about a dozen chocolate chip nut cereal bars.I experimented and changed quite a bit in each online recipe I used.

The cookies I made were a really fun experiment to see what worked well together and the overall turn out.In good news it all came out with positive results. They had a really unique flavor of sweet and slightly salty. There texture changed every time you tried one because they were packed full of treats. The white chocolate raisins gave a smooth and chewy texture. While the coconut and mixed nuts gave a crunchy and layered texture. It had arrange of flavors that is pretty hard to pinpoint exactly when you just eat one.I can see everyone finding something they like about this cookie. It was a lot of fun to make these and I loved baking with a few ingredients that are new to me.

Anyways Its really important to put your own ideas in your recipes to keep it exciting and fight off any boredom in your baking. So its good to do experiment recipes even if they don't work all the time. Its a learning curve with the bad turn outs.

White Chocolate Raisin Cookies (Adapted By White Chocolate- Chunk Cookies)

1 cup margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon rum extract
1 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour

    1.350 degrees.
2.Cream margarine and sugar in a large bowl until combined. Mix in eggs one at a time and then add the rum extract.
3.In a medium bowl, mix whole wheat flour, all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Slowly stir into margarine mixture until full combined
    .

    6. Place heaping tbsps of cookie dough to a nonstick cookie sheet. Flatten a little. Bake till golden on top and edges. Let cool on sheet and transfer to a cookie rack to cool some more.

I have always wanted to make a cereal bar that wasn't made of rice crispy cereal. This time these bars are made with honey nut cheerios plus with chocolate chips and mixed nuts. You've got your sweet, crunchy, savory and salty all in one.Super easy to make and I basically threw anything I liked.  Also dried fruit would be awesome with theses or any other kind of cereal.Ideas are endless with a bar like this, along as you have the marshmallows to have it come together your on your way. These are the kind of recipes that are done really quickly and you end up with great results.Really good treat for the summer because you eliminate using the oven and just sticking with using a element for a short time. Also this is a really good children's recipe for them to learn the basics of baking and creating their own treats.I remember making cereal bars many times with my mom when I was a child especially for school. It was probably my start of loving to bake.

Anyways everyone have a great weekend and I'll be around.Mail is to come soon for Monday. Never know some giveaway wins and coupons should be flooding in lol.

Chocolate Chip Nut Cereal Bars (Adapted by Cranberry Oat Cereal Bars)

    2 tbsp margarine
    Half a bag of marshmallows
    1/4 tsp salt
    3 cups honey nut cheerios
    1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Handful of chopped salted mixed nuts

2.Chop a hand full of salted mixed nuts, set aside.
2.In a large pot on medium heat, add the margarine. Once melted add the marshmallows and salt.Gradually stir. Quickly spread the cereal mixture in the square pan, use a rubber spatula to press down and even out. Cool in the fridge for an hour and then cut into bars.

More And More Gifts In The Mail!

    No comments:

I just received two of my giveaway wins in the mail today. I got a two box set of Scholastic Bob books for beginner reader and advancing reader that I won at Mom-a-Logues blog.

Thank you Dawn for the great giveaway. I'll be giving these to my nephew next time I see him for a belated birthday gift.I think he will find the illustrations and word play really fun.

I also received this adorable tooth fairy box made by Jenny Loom. It even has a really cute message from the fairy herself. Jenny sales her own tooth fairy creations and crafts at her own etsy shop at jenniferstar sullivan.

Thank you Jenny  for your wonderful and unique creation. I will be giving this to my nephew as a birthday gift too and I can see him going "Awww"  when he see the little kola bear.

Big thank you to both of you! I'll keep you updated by e-mail on how he liked the gifts :)

Also this evening I went to a local u-pick strawberry farm with my mom, sister and brother in-law. Altogether we picked 5 cartons with the 5th being free. There were a ton of rows to pick from and I went for all the huge strawberries that I could find. There were so many strawberries that it wouldn't take much time to fill a carton. My sister also was given a 6th carton free for finding a pair of glasses in the field and bringing them back for someone to get. We all split the strawberry cartons equally. Now me and my mom are going to freeze our strawberries and I'll be sure to spend some time finding delicious summers recipes for strawberries. Here are some of the strawberries we picked. U- pick strawberries are the way to go for freshness and for price, plus you have some fun and get some exercise out of it. Summer is here.

Today I got a pair of adorable mug cozies in the mail and I like to say thank you to Tutus & Tea Parties for making them for me. They are lovely colors and I'll be using them for my next hot drink or to give some color and cuteness to a mug :).One cozie will be going to me and the other I plan on giving to my mom. She loves coffee so it will be a perfect match for her. I don't drink coffee or even tea, however I love hot chocolate. Also who says you cant put these colorful cozies on a mug with a cold drink in it lol. These are summer colors and I wont let them be ignored :). Thank you again T&TP!

    Freebie Excitement!

I got my first freebie in the mail on Thursday since the mail strike ended and I am still using. 4 days so far of using Garnier Fructis Pure Clean sample which includes conditioner, shampoo and a 1 $ off coupon.

Its a super easy product to use and I saw quite a difference in the first wash. My hair was so lightweight and soft I kept running my fingers through it.It also made it very shiny and it smelled really good.

The great thing about this product is you get a lot with less. Ive had short hair for a while now  so I hardly use that much of this small sample  each time. I can see myself stretching this sample to 3 more days in a once a day shower.

I have tried Garnier Fructis before in the pasted and always really liked their products. I think its also thoughtful of them of moving in the direction of  more environmentally friendly  in this new shampoo and conditioner.I'll be definitely be using my coupon towards this product in the future.

Also for more exciting news I got another freebie yesterday afternoon, but it wasn't found in the mail. It was actually delivered to the house, how special is that :). I'm very lucky that my sister was home to sign for it because I was gone at the time.

Once I got back I saw that it was the Olay celebration gift set I sent for from their Olay Canada Facebook Page. I had no idea what product I was going to get when I sent for it. So it was a surprise in a box :). I opened it and I actually got a fulled sized freebie of  Olay minimizing pore cleanser and scrub.I'm super excited to try it out and I wont let any of you hanging about how the product was for me. I'll be giving a review as I use it.Woot! I love freebies and trying out all new products.

More mail will be coming.Plus a few new recipes to share!
