I made these delicious rich "peanut butter brownies" to bring along to a swimming adventure at the nearest lake with my boyfriend David and two friends(Chrissy and Krysta);however some were eating before and then I forgot to bring the rest to my friends.So the only people that got to try them out was me and David,but we were impressed by them. I will have to make sure to bake another item for our next adventure on Monday for them to enjoy, which is another brownie recipe posted here.
I changed up the recipe just a bit by adding another 1/4 cup of peanut butter, then realized it made it taste completely like peanut butter.So note to self, peanut butter is very strong and rich in taste.But for my own defense the brownie batter before I added more just tasted like chocolate and no peanut butter.I think I was wrong in that thinking; however if you really like peanut butter , like I do, then your in luck with doing it this way.However, if you like chocolate and peanut butter follow the recipe as it is.
This recipe is from a really great blog called " Jenn's Baking Chamber" in which I seem to always use the brownies recipe from.Its probably the great photos that capture the dark and moist parts of the brownies, but also the recipes are simple and use very little ingredients.
So now I am going to have to think of what I am going to bake for Sunday, ummmmm?
What I Did:
- Made smaller portions.
- Added another 1/4 cup of peanut butter(smooth).
- Didn't have enough oil, so I did 1/4 cup of vegetable oil and 1/4 cup butter(softened).
